The world is in trouble of total destruction... again. Some unknown party has been using demonic hordes to gain their ultimate goal: to cleanse the world completely, aka to destroy everything on it and resurrect the world with a clean slate. Enter the shop owners of "Devil's Tears," twin half-devil demon hunters Vergil and Dante. The source of the problem seems to be coming from Japan and the two head over to Sumaru City to figure the puzzle out and put a stop to this maniacal plot.
Meanwhile, the Konan police department of Sumaru City have been trying to break the latest serial murder case. Seagant Katsuya Suou is up for promotion to Detective and his recent assignment, to solve the "Gimmick" homicides, looks like it could make or break his long awaited achievement. Along the way his Persona, Helios, as well as lies to keep his Persona secretive, have become an almost constant at his side as he gets further to solving the case. His latest run in with the murders has led him to an alley where a non-awakened Persona User is about to get an abrupt wake up call.
Setting: Modern Day; a year after the events in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, two years after DMC3 if it had happened making the hunters somewhere in early 20s. Dynasty Warrior characters are living in this time period, will remember fighting skills when either when "awakened" or are already taking modern day classes of the equivilent (personal choice).
Getting Started: Will be the hardest part of this overly thought out and planned RPG... I'm too damn complicated. But the idea intrigues me alot and maybe it will at least get past the first "mission" and not be a complete bust. The first part is to explain the concept of what "Personae" are to all of you who don't know, which I'd guess is everyone. It seems to be realitively easy if I do it in a one on one setting, so if you don't get it this time around... ask and I'll help.
A Persona is another you. In a sense, a being that is an incarnation of one of your many personalities. They are usually a demon, deity, or mythological creature from one mythology or another. In the simplest of terms, a Persona is a creature that you can summon and use to help yourself in a situation, usually a physical battle in this setting.
Now, to get started... choose a character! One Devil May Cry character of your choosing and/or a Dynasty Warrior character (or two, more characters in there) and/or yourself. At least one character should have a Persona, simply because that's the only reason to have a crossover with Persona!
All Personae should be some sort of mythological being that already exists... unless it is 'yourself' you are playing. In that case, you may make one up completely. However, an added bonus would be to make it similar to some sort of creature/ghoul/whatever so that it has special abilities.
If you want to join but are having trouble following me... or just need help in choosing/finding a Persona... ask and yee shall be helped! Ahem. Right, in other words I'll be happy to give advice or find something to accomodate what you have in mind. (I've actually already helped with two.)
Alright! Now we wait and see if anyone (else) wishes to join! Oh, and once you have everything figured out it'd be nice if we gave some descriptions/bios. I'll start it off tomorrow to give everyone a basic outline to follow. Until then...!
(Phew... I'm finally done...!)

So much for this being tomorrow, but here's a start on my list of bios. The first two characters showing up (besides the twins).
Name: Katsuya Suou
Age: 26
Height: 5'11''
Weight: 163lbs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Amber
Weapon: Gun
Description: Katsuya is an intelligent police officer who works in the violent crimes division of the Konan Police Department. He is quick on his feet and works well even in tight situations. He is highly regarded by his peers and many are happy to finally see him up for promotion. Katsuya is usually very calm and collected and his accute mannerisms are shown in the impeccable way he dresses. He followed his father's footsteps in becoming a cop, but he truly despises crime and has a strong sense of justice that is the real reason he became an officer.
Persona: Helios, the Greek god of the sun who rides a fiery chariot. Katsuya's Persona takes the shape of the officer's favorite animal, a cat. Bipedal as he is, Helios shares his User's taste in fine clothes and wears a fancy suit black as his fur. He is the embodiment of Katsuya's sense of Justice.
Name: Jessica
Age: 19
Height: 5'4''
Weight: 124lbs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Hazel (Green to Blue)
Weapon: Defensive martial arts
Description: Quiet and shy would be the two words that come to mind upon seeing this girl for the first time. But if you know her well enough her "louder" personality will show itself in a comfortable setting. She is decently intelligent, but never applies herself enough and is constantly chided about not having any common sense sometimes. She takes a class in Korean martial arts, but is only a beginner. Jessica is a full time student of college who works at her school as well. She is in Japan her first time for a summer visit.
Persona: Kiara, a character Jessica created for fun one day. This Persona is an anthro lion who loves to fight. She embodies the side of Jessica that is almost never seen: loud, confident, strong, and fierce. Her favorite color is the same of her User, evident in the black clothes she wears over her golden furred body. Her tail sports a lion's tuff and her hair is pulled back in a braid similar to her User. Watch out; she's multi-personalitied and usually hyper as all heck.

I'm still thinking on the whole Xiahou Dun thing. I'm really busy with my cosplay this week and sorting out getting down to London, which is why I've so quiet this week.
I'll look more into it as soon as I've got more time.

Hell, Rikku. I haven't even started the thing yet. (I keep telling myself "tonight! tonight, damnit!" but it hasn't happened still.) So, you could easily join and have no problems keeping up; I mean, just consider my slow pace right now. >.<;

I'm glad you haven't started XD
Apart from sorting out a character, I've still got to work out what the hell this things actually about in terms of the 'Wha? I'm confused' thing I have going on at the moment XD

Ok, I'll take Dante and since you all know Dante's personality, characteristics, habits, etc, I dont need a summary on him right? He and Vergil would be about 21 years old (yay! Legal to drink in North America) lol. Still young and brash, I think Dante wouldn't lose his cockyness and messy habits since DMC1, he still had it. I'm thinking DMC1 is set 10 years after DMC3. p.s. is it possible to change my pen name (which is my real name) from Veronica to Devil Sunday? I thought it'd be more "board-like" and less personal in the RP way of things. That way, if I play Dante, you wont see a feminine name next to it. Too many fans already see manly Dante as effeminate. XD

Well, I'll probably ask for one, yes. Simply because he'll need a Persona... unless you can get Sol to decide the twins don't need one. But I'm not letting it be one has one and the other doesn't... they have enough 'who's better than the other' issues as it is... lol. XD
I'd have to say I don't agree on the timeline you set up... I've always thought of DMC1 Dante as somewhere in his twenties... around 26 is what I imagine. But, the age you choose does go along with what I already had them set up to be so I can't agrue with that at least.
Yes, it is. In the change profile section thingymabob... the name you sign on with will be the same, but the name we see on the board will change. By the way... that's what I forgot to do... *Runs off to do it*

Yes, I actually agree with you that Dante is in his middle twenties in DMC1....
but I was trying to figure out something in the manga. He was 18 there and then I realized that he's somewhere between 26-28 in dmc1...so it's still all good XD
That would make DMC2 Dante sort of in his early thirties...which I agree the creators are trying to create a more mature yet masculine Dante. At least he looks neater in DMC2!
Ok, I'll go and make up a quick summary on him then.

Oh, he's 18? I always did imagine him as 19 in DMC3 so I guess my guess is pretty accuate! Cool!
That's my guess too... thirties... quiet and somber, but still a macho badass... but it just wasn't enough 'Dante' for me... XD
Thanks... and now we get to try and stop spamming this... for rpg purposes it's ok... but yea... we should start a discussion one day of the many intricacies of the series... XD
But, about the rpg... I think I'll have enough time to actually sit down and write up a starter for it this weekend... hopefully soon though.

So far canon-wise I've got Dante is 9 when Eva dies, and 19 in DMC3, and 29 in DMC1 ("You lost a mother and brother 20 years ago..."). So muahaha. :D
Oh, and... I'm new. And I'd like to take a hold of Lady, if that would be alright?
I'm guessing I need a summary, personality quirks/weapons/pet peeves?

Hai! And, uh... hi! XD
Right. I usually go with 6 when mother dies and 19 in DMC3 and 26 in DMC1 and... well, who cares about DMC2? But... early 30s... Eh, enough of that...
That's great. And the first yes (hai) was in answer to the to both the questions. Oh, and... would you like Lady to be a Persona User? You could so totally have fun with that as far as my mind goes... XD Make it a demon type and her get pissed about it and... well, yea... *Snickers* Or just... something... or not. *Shrugs*
Riiiiight... anyway... I need to start on the beginning... ah...

Hi Sol Angel, I dont mind that we just wing it, or we could give small summaries.
I'm confused too about the Persona thing...so, I'll make a very short one:
Name: Dante
Age: 21?
Height: 6"2
Weight: 220
Hair Color: Silver
Eye Color: Light Blue
Weapon: E & I and Rebellion
Description: Dante is a demon hunter. He decided to be one many years ago as he grew up alone after his mother's death. Since him and Vergil were orphaned, they found out that they had unusual abilities, like the super strength and skill to jump up on tall buildings and get wounded only to heal right after. He remembered what his mother said about his father before she died, that Sparda was a demon who fought against his own kind and was an honorable knight.
(OOC: I'm not sure if I should include Vergil in the DMC business? since Sol Angel can write up Vergil pretty much. >_>)
Persona: Dante takes on his father's image, the LDK, and in full demonic form, he has black wings that span out. 2 years before, he had attained his devil powers from having the Rebellion stuck in him after being defeated by Vergil. This awakened and tapped into his true powers, whereas before he could revert to these powers when provoked. But this could not maintain a long period of time as they do now. So at will, he can with much energy, summon his powers to look like his father. His twin brother also has the same powers.
(OOC: Tell me if I'm missing anything...and persona...i thought since LDK is a legend and myth...this is appropriate??)

Well, if it were a Persona scrictly... yea... but, no... the way you have it doesn't work. A Persona is SUMMONED... it's not a transformation. As Katsuya says... "it's another you... with physical conflict..." Besides, Sparda is a legend made up for the game; a Persona needs to be a 'real' myth. Sorry.
If you two don't want to do them, that's fine. They already have their powers and DTs so it wouldn't be much of a loss for them... and less confusion I suppose. Any other characters must though... they need a way to fight.
Also... DMC3 did NOT happen... how could it have if the brothers are together? It's AU in other words. Sorry. They have their DTs... just don't ask me how they got 'em. Or what happened to them in their past... we don't need to worry about that.
This will get easier once I've showed how it works. (Should, anyway.) But I have to go to sleep now and wake up early so I can't do it now... tomorrow night if I'm lucky. I hate how long this is taking...! Gomen nasai!
