Crystal leaned back against a wall resting from her injury while Dante choose a door. She watched his carefree additude when picking a direction to go and just smiled. She gave a glance over to Vergil and saw he was half annoyed by his twins childish games which made her let out a small giggle at Dante.

Vergil rolled his eyes at Dante's childish decision making and sighed as the way was picked and followed the other two down the dark path getting a strong sense of deja vu.

Crystal looked around the path feeling like she had been there before, "Deja vu..." she commented allowed as she studied the hallways.

Trish found herself in a room with statues of winged creatures and suits of armour around the edges.
Cautiously exploring the room, the only sound was Trish's heels clicking on the stone floor.
Before she could react, the statues had come to life, knocked the pike from her hand and sent her flying across the room.
Trish jumped to her feet but was too late to see the demon behind her as everything went dark as conscienceness left her.

Dante walked down the corridor in silence. He absently nodded at Crystal's words, but hardly paid any attention to the meaning. Yes, the fact that they were walking down yet another hallway blind and hopeful to find something was getting to be a very familar act, but something was amiss. He walked down the hallway, glancing at his brother out of the corner of his eyes. He kept unusually quiet, and his hands itched towards his guns. He concentrated on the corridor's empty space as the group continued forward grudgingly.

Quite suddenly Dante leapt forward, shouldering his brother to the ground for seemingly no reason. As he got back to his feet, pulling Vergil with him, the cause became apparent as the demon that had been about to attack merged from the shadows. In fact it was a Shadow, but not one any of the group had encountered before.
This shadowy demon didn't take a feline shape as the others did. Instead it almost appeared to be a Doppleganger in the manner it took a humanoid shape. But it didn't resemble anyone or anything around and had a few too many limbs to be such a creature. The black entity never stopped moving within its shadowy substance, continually swirling around within its taken shape and even morphing the shape ever so slightly so that it was never the same twice. Its basic structure however was a human with spikes and claws jutting out everywhere, a tail that sometimes had one tip and the next moment two or three, and a head that had too many fangs peeking out from one or more mouths at any given time. The only constant were the eyes; the blood red glowing eyes that locked onto Vergil and never left him.
Its eyes didn't even move when Dante went on the offensive. He sprinted forward with Rebellion out in front, but the demon easily shifted its mass so that Dante simply ran past it. When Dante turned back around the demon was standing in the same place, having shifted back a second after the failed attack. Too late Dante realized his mistake... the demon was fast as lightning and its feet long claws were targeted directly at Vergil's heart. Dante knew his brother would need him at his side, but with spikes being thrown at him from the demon's back he didn't know how he was supposed to get back to that side of the hallway.

Vergil stood looking at Dante a moment and then saw the reason he had been pushed down. He watched the demon closely as the shadows swirled around it; he was growing very uneasy seeing the blood red eyes staring only at him, not that he would admit it, as he stared back.
His gaze was broken seeing Dante rush forward to attack. He drew Yamato as the demon sidestepped his brother's attack, and barely saw the younger's espression as his fighting instincts were screaming at him in warning, he brought Yamato up with little to no thought and tried to dodge the swift attack, the claws grazing across his body, away from the origional target. He used his own speed rushing forward and attacking the figure who was frustratingly dodging his attacks with ease.

Growling low in his throat, Dante repeatedly dodged thrown spikes only deflecting those that got too close with his sword. He briefly wondered how the demon could so accurately target himself while its complete focus was on Vergil. Glancing to the side, Dante suddenly remembered Crystal as he noticed black shadows closing in on her from all directions.
With a mental curse Dante leaped out of the way of one last spike and ran towards Crystal. Demon spears followed closely behind but eventually stopped once Dante was so far away and no longer focused on the Wershadow.
"Watch out!" Dante screamed as he jumped in front of Crystal, his sword slashing down in front and deflecting a black spike. The Shadow growled as it formed in front of Dante and its fellows followed suit. They had the two surrounded.
Dante ground his teeth as he watched his brother struggle against the Wershadow through the corner of his eye. Watching the Wershadow's minions, he struck out blindly at the nearest one, forgetting in his anger that the regular Shadows were immune to physical attacks and reflected the attack by sending out purple daggers. Dante ignored the five daggers sticking out from his chest as he pulled out Ebony and Ivory and poured lead into the creature. Once the core was exposed he slashed it into millions of pieces, not even giving the creature the time to turn red and take its final suicide strike.
Glowing red from his strong emotions, the effect causing his demonic heritage to show, Dante now had a brief moment of oppotunity. But the problem he now had to answer was who should he help? Crystal still had about seven Shadows left to defend against, but his brother was the most important thing to Dante. What was he supposed to do? Help the girl or save his brother?

Vergil kept struggling against the demon its non corporeal form kept evading his attacks, he had yet to find a weak point to hit it with, although the Wershadow was managing to beat him down like he was not even trying to defend himself.
He could see the Shadows out of the corner of his eye surrounding Crystal and as he barely dodged another attack he saw his twin hesitate, "help her," he called out, knowing he could hold off a little longer.
he changed into his own demonic form, but he knew it wouldn't last long; he had sustained too many injuries that were trying to heal at the same time, that in itself was taking up much of his energy. He continued to try and attack but his demonic form soon gave out leaving him back in his human visage as he tried to dodge away from the corner he was backed in to.
After a moment of thinking, he let himself become completely engulfed by the demon's shadowy form hoping that there was some way he would be able to fight it from the inside. He closed his eyes as the shadow seemed to merge around him, creating a more corporeal form.

At the sound of Vergil's words, Dante nodded determinedly and faced the Shadows with a glint in his eye. Carefully aiming this time around, the red hunter quickly took care of two cat demons with ease while dodging the others. Five to go, but Dante hesitantly looked towards his failing brother. The glance was a mistake as two shadowy felines clomped their massive paws around him and drug him to the ground.
With a grasp of surprise and a flash of anger, Dante let loose his surpressed rage in a torrent of magical energy, transforming into his devil state. The force of his transformation blew the demons away and even exposed their cores, allowing the demonized Dante to hack the shiney orbs to ribbons. As his DT faded away, leaving Dante panting and leaning against his sword for support, the two red kitties reformed and began their dance of death. With a groan, Dante automatedly dodged them until they blew up on themselves.
Taking another risky glance towards his brother, Dante yelled out in surprise at the sight that met his eyes. Vergil was being engulfed in the Wershadow completely! "Nooo...!" Dante simply forgot about the fighting Crystal and ran towards his brother in a blind stupor. He wouldn't allow this to happen. This couldn't happen. It wasn't happening...

Vergil was starting to think that this may not have been the best plan as the shadows kept probing around him as if trying to find a way into him. he closed his eyes a moment trying to keep himself calm, he too in several deep breaths feeling the hardening form close around him and felt like it was crushing him.
He forced himself to stay calm and block all other thoughts from his mind and felt himself connect with the demon as a wisp of a shadow got into him. He started struggling feeling it trying to take over him. He tried fighting it off, not realising the Wershadow now had a fully corporeal form and its core was revealed for an open opportunity to attack.

Crystal held her sword out in front of her in a defensive stance, keeping her eyes on the Wershadow, watching to see if it would come for her. "What do we do about this one huh?" she asked, eying Vergil, hoping the seemingly smarter of the twins would answer.

[Grr... not quite adaquate in my opinion, Sol. Sorry. Doesn't fit the current situation. First, she's no where near him. Second, I do believe Vergil isn't even visible at this point in time. Third... well... I don't know, but there's third somewhere. >.<' Oh, but thanks for trying! ^_^'']
Dante watched the Wershadow carefully as he ran towards it and his emcompassed brother, desperately hoping for a glimpse of said brother. Instead he found something just as good: a weak point. So the Wershadow was similar to the lesser Shadows. Yay for the hunters.
Unfortunely it was also similar to the Shadows in that it made sure it was protected while its precious glowing orb was visible. As Dante shot it full of lead, several black daggers came flying back at him aimed for his heart. The younger twin barely deflected the attacks with his guns, many of the blocked daggers scraping off and still managing to hit him on the shoulders instead. But Dante was up close now and Rebellion sung menacingly in the air towards its new target.

Vergil could feel every blow to the demon's core as if he was being hit, he was gladthat Dante had found a way to attack it, yet it did not help his situation. He kept his eyes closed, still fighting off the whisp of its shadow that was still in him, trying to gain control of his mind.
The Wershadow started backing away from Dante, realising it was in danger and constricted itself into a smaller form.
Vergil let out a sharp gasp feeling himself get crushed even more and he couldn't even change into his devil form to try and break out. He found he could barely even move. the solid form was as tight around him as it could be, and moved him away from Dante. The situation was swiftly becoming too much for Vergil as he struggled savagely to stay conscious from the lack of oxygen and crushing intensity all around him.

Dante was on the verge of tears as he swung repeatedly at the demon's core. An image of his mother's last moments flashed through his mind and he held back a sob as the thought of loosing Vergil finally became solid. The tears never dropped though and Dante would never have to explain seeing how no one could see the quick passing pain on his face or read his desperate, sorrowful thoughts. Instead, Dante's demonic aura began to glow again in his rage, the red energy burning angry around his form.
Suddenly everything felt different. Dante couldn't describe it, but he knew if he said anything to his brother his twin would know exactly what he meant. Because he knew Vergil was feeling the same 'difference' as he was. Whatever the feeling was, it was connected between the two twins. In fact, if Dante had to guess what just occurred to his senses, he would probably try to say that he had just connected to his other half. Dante felt his demonic power grow, and Vergil's with his.
A few seconds later Dante could see a blue aura to match his own spreading out beyond the black mass that was incompassing his brother. A instant later and two DTed, very angry half-devil twins stood facing one another, one red and one blue.
Dante blinked and then noticed the writhing mass just beyond his brother. He glanced at his brother who was breathing hard and then noticed his own breathing was just as labored and probably in time as well. Interesting, but neither twin had time to dwell on that. Together the two moved, striking at their opponent while it was still vurenable.
